Makar Sankranti Celebration
Date: January 09, 2026
Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
We are pleased to inform you that the school will remain closed on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in observance of Makar Sankranti — the joyous harvest festival that marks the sun's transition into Capricorn.
Makar Sankranti is a time of celebration, gratitude, and new beginnings. Families come together to fly kites, share traditional sweets like tilgul, light bonfires, and welcome longer days ahead — symbolizing prosperity, unity, and the victory of light over darkness.
Regular classes will resume on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
We wish everyone a very Happy Makar Sankranti! May this festival fill your homes with warmth, happiness, and success. Enjoy the festivities responsibly — fly kites safely and savor the seasonal delights!
Tilgul ghya, god god bola!
(Take sweets and speak sweetly!)
Warm regards,
Ram Krishana MahatoFrom 12th January 2026 to 22nd January sports week
